Substantial progress continues to be made on PHPWind’s Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm and the project is on schedule as per our website (www.phpwind.ca). Key highlights since our last newsletter include:
Agreements with the Province’s Department of Natural Resources and Renewables for the Crown Lease and Easement are nearing completion.
The Power Purchase Agreement between PHPWind and Nova Scotia Power has been negotiated.
Engineering is in advanced stages - most disciplines are “IFC” (Issued for Construction).
With all the core prerequisites in place, we are also on the verge of finalizing other agreements including the Turbine Supply Agreement and Balance of Plant Construction Contract.
Logistics Route - we have secured access right from the port to our project site.
Civil work to date includes:
Bridge has been successfully installed at the Mulgrave Marine Terminal;
The road connecting Zutphen Wind Turbine to the Old Mulgrave Road has been constructed;
Tree clearing of the right-of-way on Old Mulgrave Road has been completed;
The project area which includes the operations and manufacturing building, parking lot, and substation area are currently being prepped at site.
We are very pleased to be partnering with Wskijnu’k Mtmo’taqnuow Agency (WMA) on this project. WMA is an economic development partnership owned by all 13 Mi’kmaw First Nations communities in Nova Scotia.
