Progress continues at PHP Wind’s Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm with significant milestones having been achieved since the previous newsletter update. PHPWind reached its final investment decision, securing commitment of all development and construction funding, in December 2024. Other key highlights since our last newsletter include:
All major construction and equipment supply agreements have been executed
Balance-of-Plant (BOP) Agreement for engineering, procurement, and construction for the majority of project facilities has been executed with RES Canada
Nordex wind turbine supply agreements have been signed, and turbines are on schedule for delivery in Q2 2026
Operations and maintenance agreements for turbines and the balance of the project have been executed
Orders for other long lead equipment and materials, such as substation electrical equipment and embedded turbine foundation materials, have been placed
The Power Purchase Agreement and Generator Interconnection Agreement between PHP Wind and Nova Scotia Power have been executed
Most engineering is complete and Issued-for-Construction (IFC). IFC substation and transmission line design is nearing finalization
Civil construction work, including road building, is now in full swing at the project site
Tree clearing and road building for access to the project’s temporary concrete batch plant site is complete
Construction trailers are expected to be placed at the project laydown area in April 2025
The project remains on schedule as per our website (www.phpwind.ca)
